REFRIGERANT R454B (OPTEON XL41) - REPLACEMENT FOR R410A

R454B refrigerant (Opteon XL41) is a pressurised liquefied gas with a chemical composition of 68.9% R32 and 31.1% R1234yf. This product was primarily developed as a replacement for the older type refrigerant designated R410A. It is widely accepted that Opteon XL41 is the best equivalent for it. Primarily due to its very similar specification and the fact that no advanced system modifications are required to adapt it to R454B. Conversion of the system should not be a major problem.The big advantage of this refrigerant is its high versatility. R454B (Opteon XL41) will find applications in chillers, heat pumps and commercial and domestic air conditioning. This is made possible by the refrigerant's high critical temperature, as well as its wider operating range at low evaporation temperatures.

The GWP of the coolant R454B is also worth noting. It is 78% lower than R410A. This makes it a much better choice due to its low environmental impact. The zeotropic mixture is slightly flammable, which should be kept in mind. It meets the requirements of the F-Gas Act and POE oil is recommended.
