R410A REFRIGERANT
The refrigerant R410A is actually, according to the chemical nomenclature - a mixture of difluoromethane and pentafluoroethane. The gas has been liquefied under pressure. Where is it most commonly used? This type of coolant is unlikely to be found in industrial buildings. Instead, it is used successfully in domestic and commercial installations. In particular, it is often used in air-conditioning units such as chillers or split air-conditioning units. The refrigerant R410A as a mixture consists of the following agents: R32 and R125. These are present in the refrigerant in equal proportions - 50% each.
The product is used in appliances characterised by an evaporation temperature of -50°C to 20°C. It can be used as a substitute for R22 (as it is more environmentally friendly) and R13B1. As a counterpart to the latter coolant - it also works in low-temperature systems. Its great advantage is its very low temperature slip, which makes it suitable for refrigeration units with flooded evaporators. R410A works best with materials such as copper, aluminium, steel and brass. It should not be used with plastics, such as PVC.
