REFRIGERANT R452B (OPTEON XL55) - REPLACEMENT FOR R410A

The refrigerant R452B (Opteon XL55) is an HFO class agent distinguished by its considerable versatility and low global warming potential. The refrigerant belongs to a group of modern agents created to meet the needs of the modern market. The refrigerant is primarily used as a direct replacement for R410A and used in new equipment. Most commonly Opteon XL55 can be found in air conditioning units, chillers and also in heat pumps.

The biggest advantage of R452B refrigerant is its environmental friendliness. It offers very good performance and specifications similar to its older counterpart, while being much less harmful to the environment. The GWP rating of the refrigerant is 675, a reduction in this parameter compared to R410A of up to 65%, while at the same time increasing energy efficiency. In addition, Opteon XL55 is the closest equivalent to R410A, making the switch to this refrigerant the least costly and requiring the least amount of plant redesign.
