Refrigerant HFO1234yf

The HFO1234yf refrigerant was developed as a replacement for R134A, with which it is almost identical in terms of performance. It is classified as a so-called new generation refrigerant. It is more environmentally friendly than its predecessor. It is mainly known for its use in car air conditioning, which explains the manufacturers' particular concern for the welfare of the planet. However, it can also be found in domestic refrigeration equipment. Recommended oils for this coolant include POE and PAG. If you are looking for alternatives, on the other hand, R450A (Solstice N13) is worth considering. A very important note about the HFO1234yf refrigerant is that the formulation has a moderate flammability rating.
