REFRIGERANT R404A

The refrigerant R404A is one of the more popular choices among customers. The refrigerant is widely used in both low-, medium- and high-temperature refrigeration. This synthetic refrigerant is used in industrial as well as commercial applications. It is most commonly found in shops or large facilities. It is also commonly used in all types of freezers and cold stores. But that is not the end of its applications! The refrigerant R404A can also be found in transport and air conditioning units. It is also possible to use it as a replacement for R22 and R502.

The refrigerant R404A belongs to the so-called HFC group. It consists of: 52% R143A; 44% R125 and 4% R134A. In turn, alternative refrigerants to R404A include: R404F; R448A (Solstice N40); R449A (Opteon XP40) and R507.
